SUMMER SENIOR SESSION AT TANTIVY LAVENDER FARMS IN THE VIRGINIA MOUNTAINS | FORT DEFIANCE CLASS OF 2020

Kristy came to me a few months ago when she was searching for a photographer for her senior portraits. We met up for Starbucks and had a blast getting to know each other! She brought along her mom and sister, both of whom were awesome to get to know. Together, we came up with a vision for what she wanted her senior experience to look like. Most importantly, she knew she wanted a session in both summer and fall, something that I am happy to do! There are so many great summer spots, and so many equally great fall spots.

We finally settled on Tantivy Lavender Farm just south of Staunton. When we got there, we saw gorgeous rows of lavender, a huge willow tree (one of my favs!), an unparalleled view of the Blue Ridge mountains. Kristy and her mom had gotten there before us, and found out that there was a waterfall on the property just a short hike away - what an added bonus! We traipsed around the property and got gorgeous photos at so many spots. It was the perfect way to end summer before she headed back to high school for her senior year. Congrats Kristy - and the rest of Fort Defiance High School Class of 2020!
